NYC GUIDE – Favorite Eats

Since I travel quite a lot between the U.S and France, my friends often ask me what my favorite places are and if I can give them a list of things they must try when they go to the big apple, Los Angeles or Paris. So, here it is. I will start with 6 of my favorite restaurants in New York City and will keep them coming so you can try new things if you haven’t tried them yet! :)

Le Relais de Venise

Neighborhood: Midtown East
Cuisine: French/Steakhouse
What to eat: There’s only 1 option, so you can’t get it wrong: salad, steak covered in their secret sauce and french fries. For desert, the crème brulée and the profiteroles au chocolat are delicious.

Mercer Kitchen

Neighborhood: SoHo
Cuisine: American
What to eat: Black truffle pizza, or tagine of steam black sea bass

Joe’s Shanghai
24 W 56th Street, New York, NY 10019
Neighborhood: Midtown West
Cuisine: Chinese/Shanghainese
What to eat: Soup dumplings

STK
26 Little W 12th Street, New York, NY 10014
Neighborhood: West Village, Meatpacking District
Cuisine: Steakhouse
What to eat: Fillet medallion sauce au poivre, creamed spinach and sweet corn pudding

Tartinery

Neighborhood: Nolita
Cuisine: French
What to eat: Tartines Jambon Brie, Saumon Fumé and Crevette Avocat

Shake Shack
215 Murray Street, New York, NY 10282
Neighborhood: Battery Park (there are many locations but if you don’t want to wait on line for an hour then this one is the best!)
Cuisine: Fast Food/Burgers
What to eat: Shack Burger, Shroom Burger, cheese fries, chocolate milkshake
