Summer is officially here and I decided to create a list of 10 things I would like to do before Labor Day :)
Organize a picnic with friends Go more often to the beach (New Jersey beaches are my faves!) and get a tan Watch a movie under the stars Host a World Cup viewing party for the final game Go on more weekend getaways in the Hamptons, Cape Cod or Rhode Island Read at least 3 summer books (1 down, 2 more to go!) Bake a blueberry pie Buy this beautiful beach towel…! Make s’mores and popsicles :) Find a friend with a pool….. or go to a public/hotel pool somewhere in the city
What is your bucket list for this summer? Do you live in a city or by the beach?
I am a salty kind of girl. I don’t have a sweet tooth. But sometimes I just crave a specific dessert, especially in the summertime when you just want to indulge in fruits! So the other day, I was craving a strawberry tart and since I never made one before, I decided to just give it a try using this recipe! And it was so yummy! I know, I know, I really need to improve my strawberry organization skills because there’s definitely NOT enough strawberries in this pie now that I look at it and it’s not that well organized either ^^
When I am in the mood for sweet treats, I almost always bake these muffins! I never get tired of them! They are so delicious and can be eaten at any time of the day. And trust me, even if you think you can’t cook, they still will come out perfectly! Here is the recipe I used.
As far as baking is concerned, it doesn’t get much better than homemade chocolate chip cookies. That’s why I had to make some this weekend! I used this recipe. I bought some cookie cutters for Christmas and wanted to try them on chocolate chip cookies (not the easiest..!). When you bake these, make also sure to take them out of the oven before they hardened. Served with a giant glass of milk, it’s definitely one of my favorite dessert!
