Raf Simons for Christian Dior?

Jil Sander Spring/Summer 2012 show

Breaking News!

Remember when we talked about Marc Jacobs going to Dior (here)? Well, apparently he’s now out of the running!

Rumor has it that Belgian-born designer Raf Simons could be replacing John Galliano as the new creative director of Christian Dior. Raf Simons is currently the creative director of Milan-based fashion label Jil Sander, where he has worked since 2005.

WWD reports that Simons and the French Fashion House Christian Dior are currently finalizing the contract. However we still do not know anything about key details such as a start date and how much notice he would have to give Jil Sander.

Hopefully we will have more details in the upcoming weeks!

Excited? Not too thrilled? Could not care less? The box below awaits your verdict..

  1. I think anyone who’s going to take John Galliano’s place at Dior will have a lot to carry on his shoulders XD but I can’t wait to see who will be!
I love Jil Sander and I think Raf Simons would be an interesting choice for the brand!
