Kate Moss’s wedding dress: it’s Galliano & it Glitters!

After the excitement of the Royal Wedding in April, we were all dying to see what Supermodel Kate Moss and rockstar Jamie Hince’s wedding will look like!

Well, Kate Moss and Jamie Hince tied the knot in the Cotswolds this afternoon (a 3 day party!) and here are the first photos of the gorgeous newly weds, surrounded by their 15 cute bridesmaids (including her 8 year-old daughter Lila Grace).

Kate‘s wedding dress was designed by her close friend John Galliano. It’s slinky, vintage-inspired and heavily embellished with glittering gold embroidery in a leaf pattern. The sheer material shows a sexy-but-subtle flash of leg while the veil floats down to touch the floor. Manolo Blahnik designed a special pair of wedding stilettos that include a blue insole as Kate’s ‘something blue’.

The groom, Jamie Hince, is wearing a blue double-breasted Stefano Pilati for YSL suit, giving his ensemble a rock twist with rocker shades and black boots.

Among the expected party guests were fashion designers Stella McCartney and Vivienne Westwood, supermodel Naomi Campbell, actor Jude Law and his ex-wife Sadie Frost and Topshop boss Philip Green.

I am kind of disappointed by Kate’s dress. Perhaps it’s because I found Kate Middleton’s McQueen dress so extraordinary.. Perhaps it’s because every celebrity seems to be getting married lately and we have been flooded with wedding photos, or perhaps I was just expecting something more runway worthy for such a fashion icon.

I love the vintage style of the dress but even if everything suits her, I guess I was expecting something more spectacular!

Ok, so now it’s time for you to cast your verdict on The dress. Take it away in the box below..!
