I went to the store the other day and found some cute little molds to make French little pastries from Bordeaux called Cannelés [kah~nuh~leh]. It is a vamped-up crepe batter cooked in tiny molds until they become brown and crusty outside. The inside has to remain wet.
To finish the batch, I’ve decided to try and bake some of them in my muffin mold..! I know I always try the weirdest things but trust me, it tastes great!
So apparently it is really hard to obtain real Cannelés Bordelais.. mine were far from perfect (totally out of shape!), but I can tell you one thing: they are delicious! ;P
